Grand View Art Village blends modern architecture with the local landscape. Our four-story main building offers private en-suite rooms, shared living spaces, and versatile exhibition halls. Outside, the campus features private wooden cabins, a pottery kiln, and a lakeside teahouse. It is a space where creativity meets nature, offering a unique environment for artists to live and work.
We offer four bedrooms with private bathrooms, including one fully accessible suite. Designed with comfort and privacy in mind, the rooms provide a warm and restful place for artists to stay.
Located on the first and second floors, the residence overlooks surrounding fields and hills, creating a quiet, home-like environment.
The studios feature large windows overlooking surrounding greenery and high ceilings that bring in generous natural light.
Bright and open, the space offers a quiet setting for artists to work, reflect, and develop their ideas.
Our walls are finished with paper-fiber lime plaster (紙筋灰), a natural, breathable material with a soft, tactile quality. It also helps regulate humidity, creating a calm and stable environment.
With natural skylight, the gallery shifts with the sun, allowing the artworks and the space itself to change subtly as the light moves.
The interior partitions are built with over-fired kiln bricks (火頭磚), repurposed and integrated with the original structure. Left unpainted, the materials retain their raw texture and traces of time.
The space offers a grounded setting for talks, workshops, and creative exchange.

The Lakeside Tea House is a space for gathering and exchange, shaped by the surrounding landscape. A semi-circular pond reflects a quiet connection with nature.
An open-air wood-fired stove supports shared use, using plant materials collected on-site as fuel to form a small cycle of reuse.

At the center of the terrace stands a Ceylon olive tree, anchoring the space as a natural landmark. Terraced grass slopes and shaded areas create an open setting for gatherings and events.
This flexible outdoor space invites both rest and activity, suitable for performances, small markets, and community gatherings.
Located next to the main pavilion, the Kiln Studio is a dedicated space for ceramic firing and material-based practices. It welcomes artists and researchers working across crafts, experimentation, and material studies.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and open the studio to its surroundings, allowing the process of making to be seen as part of the landscape. The space supports focused work, exchange, and technical dialogue.

Two independent cabins are located within the grounds, designed to combine living and working in one space. Each cabin integrates a studio and private living area, with generous natural light suited for a range of creative and research-based practices.
Set within the surrounding landscape, the cabins offer a quiet environment where daily life and artistic work come together. One cabin is fully accessible, supporting a more inclusive residency experience.
