CHIU CHING-TING

邱敬婷

2025 Fall Artist Residency Program
Artist-in-Residence

Trained in visual communication design, she has focused on fiber craft since graduating, working primarily with wool felting techniques and mixed-media textile design. In 2016, she entered the Graduate Institute of Applied Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts, where she studied fiber materials and fabric-based expression.

Through her study of weaving techniques in particular, she began to reconsider the spatial structures of points, lines, and planes. Drawing on the sensory qualities of fiber materials, her practice brings together her living environment, personal perception, and broader reflections on social awareness and collective relationships.

She received the Merit Award in the Taiwan Craft Competition and has been selected for the International Textile Triennial, the 11th SCYTHIA International Mini Textile Art Exhibition in Ukraine, the 10th International Fiber Art Biennale, and Fiberart International in the United States. Her work was also featured in the Winter 2024 issue of Fiber Art Now.
