2024 Artist Residency Pilot Program I
Artist-in-Residence
Recipient of the 4th Grand View Emerging Artist Award, Visual Arts Category
Born in Nantou, Taiwan, in 1993, the artist specializes in oil painting and has long been concerned with the ways people live in relation to their surroundings.
Her practice grows from observations and perceptions of the environments around her, reflecting on the coexistence between humans and nature. Through an abstract visual language, she explores the environments we often take for granted, suggesting that our imagined vision of nature is often one-sided. Her works also reveal another side of nature’s vitality, presenting its unruly force as it breaks through restraint, order, and established rules.
