2024 Autumn Artist-in-Residence Program: Open Studios I

Following the launch of the Autumn Artist-in-Residence Program in early September, Grand View Art Village hosted its very first Open Studios event!

Mr. Chen Tien-Shun, the founder of the foundation, made a special appearance despite his busy schedule to support the event. Through a relaxed yet captivating dialogue led by CEO Yolanda Lin, the three resident artists shared stories right in front of their works. Visitors were treated to an intimate look into each artist’s creative journey, bringing their distinctly individual artistic personalities to life.

As visitors shuttled between the exhibition spaces and the artists’ studios, three distinct art forms—crafts, painting, and performance—flowed and intertwined throughout the village. The joy and inspiration sparked by the art felt like musical notes, echoing and spreading through the space.

On this weekend afternoon, Grand View Art Village was transformed into an artistic amusement park, infusing the daily life of Xinpu with a fresh wave of creative inspiration. The artists prepared an array of hands-on art experiences that filled visitors with surprise and delight. Regardless of age, everyone embraced their inner child, exploring the artistic playground—trying their hand at weaving, painting with their bodies, and letting go of their thoughts to join in collective movement workshops!

𖤣 Artists-in-Residence: Yasen Vasilev Fan, Sih-ci Chen, Ying-ting
